About Company & Position Our client is a leading railway infrastructure company dedicated to delivering excellence in rail services and operations. We are looking for 2 x skilled Paint Sprayer Supervisors for the Aesthetics Team who play a critical role in ensuring the visual quality and finish of rail industry components and vehicles. This position involves overseeing a team of paint sprayers and technicians, coordinating projects, maintaining safety standards, and delivering high-quality, visually appealing results that meet both company and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Supervision: Manage, mentor, and lead the aesthetics team, including paint sprayers and support staff. Schedule daily tasks and ensure efficient allocation of resources. Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project goals, quality standards, and safety protocols. Quality Assurance: Inspect surfaces and finished products to ensure they meet industry and company standards for aesthetics, durability, and finish. Monitor adherence to client specifications and make adjustments as needed. Ensure proper preparation of surfaces, including sanding, cleaning, and priming. Technical Expertise: Oversee the application of paint using spray equipment, ensuring even coats, correct color matches, and smooth finishes. Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, implementing solutions to minimize downtime. Keep up-to-date with the latest paint technologies, tools, and industry trends. Project Management: Coordinate with project managers and other departments to ensure timelines and budgets are met. Track progress and maintain detailed records of all painting projects. Manage inventory of paints, solvents, and related materials. Health, Safety, and Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly those related to working with hazardous materials. Enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean and safe work environment. Provide training to team members on safe handling and application techniques. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality. Provide feedback to management on equipment and process upgrades. Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge. Experience & Skills

Proven experience in the paint spraying field, preferably within the rail or automotive industry. Previous supervisory or team leadership experience. Strong knowledge of paint types, spray equipment, and surface preparation techniques. Familiarity with health and safety regulations, especially COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health). Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Proficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
