There is a rewarding opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join Ty Bryngwyn Specialist Palliative care inpatient unit.

The unit consists of 4 inpatient beds caring for patients with complex symptom management during the palliative phase of their illness.

We work within a wider multidisciplinary model of care.

Main duties of the job

As a Registered Nurse within the unit you will be responsible for the nursing care of the patients and working closely with the patients' family.

This role will hone your skills in nursing specialist palliative care patients, working within a proactive model of care and aiding discharge planning principles for this patient group.

This is a 30 hour per week, permanent position.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.

Essential

RGN Level 1 or 2 Current NMC Registration Relevant post basic courses and/or experience Evidence of CPD Knowledge of NMC Codes of practice Knowledge of Health Board Policies, Procedures and Guidelines Able to relate theory to practice Maintain personal & professional development

Desirable

Diploma/Degree in Nursing Certificate in Palliative Care Knowledge of topical issues in Health & Social Care Knowledge of audit

Experience

Essential

Able to demonstrate sound knowledge of rehabilitation and elderly care Statutory & mandatory training

Experience of supervision of junior staff
