Job Description Reporting to the E&I Production Manager / Supervisors, these immediate positions involve electrical wiring and mechanical aspects of LV/HV Switchgear and control panels. Assembly of Electrical Switchgear and associated Electromechanical equipment/systems to engineering drawings and production timescales. To apply good workmanship, ensure quality standards are maintained for the products both in the factory and at customers' premises. To adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures.

Responsibilities & Expectations: Working from drawings, manuals, schematics, etc. Proven experience working on assembly of both mechanical and electrical equipment and electromechanical systems. To contribute to fitting, building, or construction of various parts to ensure a smooth process of component amalgamation. Good electro/mechanical skills. Assembly of parts or components to build a new or repeatable product. Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision. Sound knowledge of engineering tools and electrical hand tools and equipment including torquing. Maturity and engineering practicality. Adherence to Company policies and procedures. Ability to mentor and develop team members. Apply good workmanship and ensure quality standards are met and maintained. Report any substandard/malfunction or defective parts. Select, measure, and modify components to ensure component fit. Carry out MTOs and order material for allocated tasks both internal and for site works. Assemble prototype and development units with Supervisors and managers. Ensure working environment and equipment are kept clean, tidy, and in good condition. Working to deadlines and strict adherence to Quality and H&S principles. Positive attitude, flexible working O/T as required, and ability to fit in as part of a team. Complete testing of panel, up to and including current injection. Mechanical/electrical maintenance work and site modifications. Thermal Imaging inspections and report writing. Perform other duties as assigned. The Successful Applicant Essential Experience / Qualification Criteria: Panel Wirers are expected to have strong technical skills in wiring and assembling electrical panels. You should follow schematic diagrams accurately, ensure proper connections, and troubleshoot issues. Attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and working efficiently are also crucial. Good communication and teamwork skills are often necessary, as panel wirers may collaborate with engineers and other professionals in the manufacturing process. Desirable Experience / Qualification Criteria: Electrical knowledge as well as Mechanical would be advantageous. Experience of Electrical switchgear manufacture or similar. Experience of on-field service work / on-site installations. Familiar with Risk Assessments and Method statements.
