Permanent, Full-time (37 hours per week) Paradigm Housing Group has a rare newly created opportunity for a Capital Works Contracts Manager, who will be responsible for managing various capital works which will include PAS2030 zero carbon including EWI, cavity refills, ground source heat pumps, insurance and disrepair works along with full roof replacements and other ad-hoc specific projects. With responsibility for managing a team and use of sub-contractors where you'll drive improvements and customer satisfaction that align with our strategic goals. You'll have joint responsibility of a £10 million budget. We are looking for a conscientious, proactive capital works contract manager, able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and passionate about providing first-class customer service. Attention to detail is important in this role to ensure the successful delivery of our services. You will be a good communicator with both internal and external customers as you will be liaising with the customer and delivery team throughout the duration of the works. You should have the following skills/experience: Prior experience of managing large scale property capital works, directly employed labour and sub-contractors with a minimum of 5 years' experience. Recognized relevant degree-level qualification or equivalent within related disciplines with a minimum of 5 years' experience. Able to lead, motivate and supervise contractors to achieve targets and high standards of work and customer satisfaction. Able to assist with reviewing policy, procedures and strategies in relation to maintenance functions. Able to plan and prioritise to ensure the effective use of own time and that of the team in order to deliver work plans to timetable, often under pressure. Have health and safety training to the required (Construction Industry training Board) CITB industry standard. Good organisational skills with the ability to plan workload, manage time effectively and meet deadlines whilst working under pressure. A ‘common sense' attitude and a ‘hands-on' approach.
