Job purpose This role sits within the Legal & Commercial team and is the drivers behind our valued Roam client partnerships. As a paralegal at Roam you will be responsible for assisting our commercial lawyers on a variety of property transactions. This role would suit a paralegal who aspires to progress their legal career in the long term. You will be given an opportunity to broaden and develop your skills with a view to assuming greater levels of responsibility. Duties and responsibilities Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating Non-Disclosure Agreements, Letters of Intent, Exclusivity Agreements, Non-disclosure Agreements and Terms and Conditions. Assisting with all property related legal documents including Options for Leases and post completion formalities to include dealing with payment of Stamp Duty Land Tax, registration, service of any relevant notices. Version controlling legal documentation On occasion, attending meetings and online calls with clients and customers to discuss and negotiate terms Pro-actively maintaining internal and external trackers to manage company’s commercial contracts Working closely with Roam's chosen external solicitors and the wider team to progress transactions Liaising with landowners and operations department to exchange on contracts in-line with installations Researching and reporting on legal and regulatory updates and developments Qualifications Law degree - (Essential) CILEX Qualification with conveyancing would be a bonus! Skills/ Experience Minimum 12 months paralegal experience or similar role is essential Ability to produce documents efficiently and with ease (Essential) Confident with MS Office, and other software (e.g. Land Registry portal) First class communication skills, both written and verbal Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills (Essential) Ability to work well under pressure (Essential) Diversity matters!
