South Rural PCN have an exciting opportunity for a paramedic to join their team on a full-time basis. There is a possibility of part-time hours so please add to application which you would prefer.The successful candidate may be required to work across two surgeries,Holbrook and Shotley Practice. Main duties of the job

Assess, manage, treat, refer and/or signpost patients/service users who attend surgery with undifferentiated or undiagnosed condition relating to minor illness or minor injury. Triage and treat patients wishing to see a health care professional, making any necessary referrals to other members of the primary health care team. Work from the surgery and within the local community as an autonomous practitioner caring for patients and families. Carry out ward rounds within care homes registered with the practice. Prescribe and issue medications as appropriate following policy, patient group directives NICE (national) and local clinical guidelines and local care pathways. Maintain accurate, contemporaneous healthcare records appropriate to the consultation. Actively participate in mentoring and supervision, plus practice-derived CPD opportunities. About us

Our PCN includes the following practices: Bildeston Health Centre, Constable Country Medical Practice (East Bergholt and Capel St Mary), Hadleigh Health Centre (Boxford), The Holbrook and Shotley Surgery and Needham Market Country Practice. Qualifications

Be a registered paramedic, with current HCPC registration and have post-registration experience, ideally with some being in primary care. Educated to degree/diploma level in Paramedicine or equivalent experience. Clinical skills qualifications or evidence of equivalent experience. Experience of working to protocols, guidelines and Patient Group Directives 2 years consolidation of learning period completed as a newly qualified paramedic and a further 3 years experience as a band 6 (or equivalent) paramedic (or equivalent). Experience

Management of patients with common acute medical conditions. Management of patients with long-term conditions. Knowledge of NHS. Understanding of the current issues and challenges facing primary care. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
