Paramedic - Home Visits (GP Surgery, Maidstone)

A respected GP surgery in Maidstone is seeking a compassionate and dedicated paramedic to join their team for home visit duties. This exciting opportunity offers a dynamic role, providing essential healthcare services directly to patients in their homes, as part of a supportive and collaborative healthcare environment.

Role Overview:

The paramedic will be responsible for conducting home visits to patients, ensuring they receive appropriate clinical care in a timely and professional manner. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with a range of medical conditions, in collaboration with the GP team. The ideal candidate will be confident in delivering patient-centred care and will be adaptable to the needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct home visits to patients in Maidstone, as directed by the GP surgery Provide clinical assessments, including physical examinations and diagnosis of medical conditions Administer treatment as required, ensuring safe and effective patient care Work closely with the GP team to ensure continuity of care for patients Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with legal and ethical standards Offer advice and support to patients and their families regarding healthcare needs Respond effectively to emergency situations and provide urgent care as necessary

Essential Requirements:

Registered Paramedic with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Previous experience in a clinical setting, ideally within a community or home visit role Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients A patient-centred approach with a focus on delivering high-quality care Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for home visits

Desirable Skills:

Experience in a GP surgery or primary care setting Ability to assess and manage a wide range of medical conditions Knowledge of local services and healthcare providers in the Maidstone area
