Pay: Up to £25 per hour for PAYE and up to £30.00 per hour Subcontractor rate

Company pension scheme

Holidays: 28 days per year (pro rata)

Hours: Open shifts available up to c 40+ hours per week. The Business operates 24/7, 365 days per year.

This is not a training role; applicants must hold appropriate and relevant qualifications for this role.

The Job

Working in partnership with the NHS and other care providers, we take pride in the services offered by our caring, compassionate, and friendly teams of trained, highly skilled Paramedics. Paramedics will work as part of the primary care network to provide home visits to acutely unwell housebound patients. You will treat patients in their own home and arrange an appropriate plan of care for the patient. You will have access to a dedicated Primary Care GP to liaise or prescribe any medication required to support the plan of care. You will also refer patients to other professionals or services where necessary.

The service is run from a GP surgery in Sheffield, and you will be predominantly mobile working. The service operates Monday to Friday. You may have to deal with distressing situations and go out in all weathers, covering a large geographical area.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Deliver a standard of care that you wish for yourself and friends or family to receive in similar situations.

Undertake a holistic assessment of the patient to ensure all medical and social aspects have been reviewed.

Ensure that all patient notes are completed in a timely manner.

Communicate with patients, relatives, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.

Maintain timely communications with our operations.

Minimum Requirements:

1 year experience working as a Paramedic is desirable; mentorship provided for newly qualified Paramedics.

This post requires Registration with the HCPC.

Knowledge of current operational procedures and clinical practices, in addition to awareness of health & safety legislation.

Personal attributes: reliability, conscientiousness, enthusiasm, and self-motivation.

Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.

Interpersonal skills and the ability to interact in a calm and professional manner.

A full, UK, current driving licence is necessary.

A clean licence is preferred (max no' of points = 3). All licence enforcements need to be declared on application.

Access to your own vehicle with business insurance. Mileage will be paid.

Satisfactory criminal record check (DBS) to show that you are suitable for this type of work.

Satisfactory reference covering 3 years of employment.
