Our Parking Officers spend most of their time outdoors in and around the District in all sorts of weather, connecting with the public daily. As the face of Hastings District Council, you will use your amazing customer service skills to promote positive public relations. If this sounds like you, then we look forward to seeing your application for this full-time Parking Officer position, working from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. What is Parking Enforcement all about? Parking isn’t just about enforcement; our Officers are dedicated to ensuring everyone gets the chance to park close to their favourite shops or cafés, and our tamariki are kept safe at the school gates. You will be our eyes on the ground, walking the streets of our gorgeous district, doing daily patrols, enforcing parking regulations, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the district’s roading networks. The successful candidate will: Be patient and always happy to help Have a good level of physical fitness Have experience with conflict management - essential as you may encounter complex situations Display a cool and collected manner when working under pressure Have an innovative and proactive approach to solving problems If this sounds like you, and you want to help us keep traffic moving safely and ensure everyone gets the chance to experience our CBD - please apply today!
