We are looking for a Part Qualified Trainee Accountant to join our team. As a Part Qualified Trainee Accountant you will be an integral part of the finance team at Datel, using your knowledge to help drive continuous improvement across the finance function. Your roles and responsibilities will be but not limited to: Preparation of accurate and timely management accounts for Datel Advansys Ltd and providing meaningful analysis. Your expertise will provide crucial insights and variance analysis, helping DAL understand performance against targets and identify opportunities for improvement. Produce a fully recognised balance sheet for your business area to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and provide evidence and supporting narrative, as required. Assist in the preparation of budgets/forecasts. Improve financial awareness across the business by being a champion of change by ensuring work is performed efficiently, and whilst identifying opportunities to improve and simplify processes, you will work collaboratively to standardise and automate processes to drive continuous improvement across the whole finance function. Develop and improve key financial information. Support Accounts payable. Provide cover for Datel Computing Ltd Finance Manager. Provide ad hoc analysis and reconciliations. What to bring: We’re looking for a part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a first-rate academic record, advanced Excel skills (including vlookups, pivot tables, and advanced formulae), and excellent attention to detail. You’ll thrive in a collaborative team, showcasing your strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to taking ownership of your work. With regular interaction with internal and external stakeholders, you’ll build and maintain positive relationships, leveraging your confident, friendly personality and strong communication skills.
