We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounts senior to join our team and perform a varied and interesting role. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth financial operation of our firm, supporting the leadership team with accurate and timely reporting. We are ideally looking for someone with previous experience in a legal cashier role, although this is not essential for the right candidate. We also work in multiple currencies, so previous experience handling these is desirable. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for assisting with the overall day-to-day performance of the firm’s financial activities and play a key team role in mitigating financial and business risks. As an experienced accounts assistant your key responsibilities will be to: Prepare month-end accruals, prepayments, and generally prepare the accounts to trial balance level. Ensure balance sheet nominal codes are reconciled on a monthly basis. Set up supplier bank payments, enter all purchase ledger invoices and payments into our accounting system with all VAT accounted for accurately. (P4W experience preferable but not essential.) Perform bank reconciliations on a daily basis. Prepare payroll expenses and post salary journals. Collate and prepare the monthly credit card ensuring all receipts are received and matched and VAT is accounted for correctly. Learn the monthly billing process and general client accounting tasks to provide cover where needed. Assist with the preparation of ad-hoc financial information as and when needed by the leadership team. We are looking for candidates who have the following qualifications, skills, and abilities: At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role - Legal experience preferable but not essential. 6 GCSE passes with passes in Maths and English required as a minimum. A-levels and a relevant degree are an advantage. Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to use initiative and be pro-active. Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise. Proficient Excel skills or willingness to learn. Benefits

Flexible working from home arrangements once the successful candidate has completed their initial training. Following completion of the initial training period, the role will be office-based 1 day a week. Location will either be in our Oxted Surrey or City of London office.
