Old Mill Surgery is currently seeking an enthusiastic, friendly and hard working individual to join our busy reception team. The successful candidate will contribute to the smooth running of an extremely busy reception area which is crucial to supporting the overall operations of the practice and provide vital support to the patients and clinical staff.
Our practice is situated in Viewpark health centre with convenient free parking and bus routes nearby. We currently serve around 8000 patients and our clinical team consists of 3 GP Partners, 3 part time salaried GPs, an ANP, 2 practice Nurses and an array of allied health board team members. We have an experienced and friendly reception team who will be on hand to provide training and support.
Duties will include:
Telephone cover
Prescription administration
Processing of internal and external communications both paper and digital
Good communication and strong relationship building with patients is of the highest priority so the successful candidate will be confident, compassionate and efficient. We are a very busy practice and the ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment and be able to prioritise workload both independently and with direction.
Previous General Practice experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. Previous experience in a call handling/service environment would be advantageous.
Hours per week will be 2-6pm across 4 days (4 hours per day). Starting Salary will be £12.75 per hour.
