This is a pivotal Part-Time Payroll Manager position where you will report into the Partners and look after your own portfolio of 180 payrolls, ranging from Director-only to small limited companies. There is also scope to get involved in other areas of the practice, such as bookkeeping and VAT, should you wish. This practice promotes a fantastic work-life balance and hybrid working, with 2 days a week from home.
Responsibilities
Manage multiple payrolls for a diverse client portfolio. Support the team with processes relevant to payroll, including starters and leavers. Ensure accurate information is obtained from clients to validate payroll data. Assist with maintaining pension records, including processing payroll payments and statutory reductions. Complete year-end processes and submissions. Manage queries related to tax, benefits, salary, and allowances. Act as a mentor to junior members of the team. Support the Partners with networking and business development opportunities.
Requirements The ideal candidate will have either bureau or accountancy practice payroll experience. Be CIPP qualified, part qualified, or qualified by experience. Have experience in dealing with a mix of weekly and monthly payrolls. Be hard-working and up for a challenge in a fast-paced working environment. Have good software and technical payroll knowledge.
