About the role An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Disability Social Care 0-25 Service as a part-time Team Manager. As the Team Manager of the Disabled Children's Referral & Access Team, you will be working alongside the Children with Disabilities Team (0-18) and the Young Adults Team (18-25). You will also work closely with our in-house providers of short breaks, health and education professionals, and a range of private and voluntary organisations. Experience of partnership working and networking is therefore essential, as well as experience of delegating tasks and the ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team. Your role will include allocating work, performance monitoring, and supporting the development of the team. You will be able to think on your feet in terms of case allocation and understanding thresholds. You will have proven experience at being able to thrive in a busy environment and will have demonstrated resilience. Prior experience and understanding of SEND is therefore essential, in addition to having a safeguarding background and experience in managing risk. You will be working 18.5 hours a week. This post will primarily be based out of the Buttsgrove Centre in Huntingdon, but with the ability to work from home as part of a hybrid model. Please note the Council is currently undergoing an accommodation improvement programme that will result in some office moves over the next 12-18 months, and this team will operate from a different location within the County. Appointment to this post will be subject to the outcome of an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service. About you We're looking for a confident and dynamic individual who enjoys building relationships and helping to support the most vulnerable children and young people in our county.
