The Role:

As a Partner, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our Court of Protection practice. You will lead complex cases, drive strategic initiatives, and nurture the next generation of legal talent within the firm. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead & Manage: Oversee a diverse portfolio of Court of Protection cases, including property and financial affairs, welfare, and contested applications.
  • Client Advisory: Provide expert legal guidance on all aspects of Court of Protection law, including deputyships, LPAs, statutory wills, and mental capacity issues.
  • Mentorship: Inspire and mentor a talented team of solicitors and paralegals, ensuring exceptional client service and fostering their professional growth.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with clients, offering empathetic and strategic legal advice.
  • Business Development: Play an instrumental role in expanding our client base and enhancing our market presence through innovative business development initiatives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide comprehensive, holistic legal solutions for our clients.


Key Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive Expertise: Significant experience in Court of Protection law, with a proven track record of handling complex and sensitive cases.
  • Relationship Builder: Exceptional ability to forge and maintain strong relationships with clients, court personnel, and other professionals.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and management skills, with a passion for mentoring and developing junior lawyers.
  • Commercial Acumen: Insightful commercial awareness and a proactive approach to contributing to business growth.
  • Excellent Communicator: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of delivering clear, concise legal advice.
  • Advocate for Vulnerable Individuals: A deep commitment to championing the rights and needs of vulnerable individuals.


Qualifications:

  • Professional Credentials: Qualified solicitor or barrister with a minimum of 6-10 years PQE in Court of Protection matters.
  • Track Record of Success: Proven experience managing and developing a thriving practice at a senior level with a focus on Court of Protection law.
