Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking talented individuals for an exciting role of Partner Development Manager for Consulting Partners in South Africa. Do you have the business savvy and industry expertise necessary to position AWS as the technology platform of choice?

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. Within SMGS, the AWS Consulting Partner Ecosystem has grown to tens of thousands of partners worldwide and these Systems Integrators, Advisors, Professional and Managed Services Partners deliver key services that drive customer business outcomes. This role is focused on the Consulting Partners facilitating engagement with AWS Commercial field sales teams and customers.

As a Partner Development Manager, you will deliver on our strategy to build mind share and adoption of Amazon Web Services across strategic business partners and customers. You will be responsible for driving top line revenue growth and overall end customer adoption across all market segments through partner engagement. The ideal candidate has both a business background that enables them to engage at the CXO level, and a sales/technical background that enables them to easily interact with enterprise customers and field sales reps. You should have demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.

Key job responsibilities

Develop deep and trusted relationships with our Consulting and Distribution partners in South Africa by gaining a comprehensive understanding of their challenges, goals, and long-term vision for the Africa region. Develop and execute ambitious business plans with these partners to accelerate AWS adoption by customers in the region. Drive AWS relationship and business practice across stakeholders ranging from Client Partners to business unit heads to technical practitioners. Help these AWS Partners accelerate their cloud practices and help bring to market compelling solution offerings that will help customers accelerate their cloud adoption. Be a trusted advisor and thought leader capable of sharing industry insights, best practices, and strategic guidance to empower partners. Collaborate with AWS sales, Marketing, Service teams and other relevant internal teams to develop tailored transformation roadmaps to our partners and help execute those engagements. Prepare and present business reviews to senior leadership, both internal and external and effectively communicate market realities, partner needs and strategic recommendations to progress the partnership.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization - Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams
