Partnership Link Worker x 5 - Fixed Term for 12 Months

About us

Have you heard about the families first pathfinder, a brand-new initiative as part of the government strategic response to the independent care review “stable homes based on love”? Are you looking to develop and expand your own experience and skills to support families? Would you like to work in the community with multi-agency partners to support them with Early Help? Would you like to increase your own awareness of support and develop relationships with partners in Warrington? Would you like to be part of a team delivering training and support to our partner agencies? Would you like to support more families earlier to reach better outcomes? As part of the development of the Family First Pathfinder Wave 2, it has been agreed that 5 additional Partnership Link Workers can join the Early Help Support team on a fixed-term contract for 12 months. It is recognized in the Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023 that all agencies hold the responsibility for offering Early Help Support, resulting in more support and training being requested from partners to support families with a multi-agency plan of support at Universal Plus (Level 2) on the Warrington continuum of need. The role

The Early Help Support Team sits uniquely in the middle of the Early Help division, offering support and guidance to all our partner agencies with the delivery of Early Help. The Partnership Link Workers (PLW) do not case hold families; they support the Early Help Process by assisting partners in completing Early Help Assessments (EHA) and arranging Team Around the Family meetings (TAF). They also guide the referral process (MARS) and understanding of thresholds. Our partners include health, education, early years, voluntary agencies, and other WBC teams, and this is always expanding. We also support the Early Help division with the training and induction of new staff. These roles are full-time and provide an opportunity for you to be creative with your skills to engage partners. You will gain valuable skills and build on your own practice, improving relationships and confidence. You will join a welcoming, supportive, and established team who will guide and support you through the 12 months. What's needed?

The successful candidates will have significant experience in safeguarding children with a strong track record of working in partnership across organizations to achieve positive outcomes. They will have excellent communication skills, the ability to present information, good timekeeping, and a passionate and empathetic approach. As well as a competitive salary, working for us means you get: 26 days annual holiday - raising to 31 after 5 years of service (pro-rata) Access to our attractive and competitive benefits package Access to our Health & Wellbeing Programme Essential car allowance Key Dates & Further Information

If you are interested in the role and require any further information, please contact Clare Millar, Early Help Support Team Manager, by email cmillar@warrington.gov.uk or call 01925 443191. Interviews will involve a presentation and a series of questions. For internal applicants, this can be a secondment opportunity; however, it needs to be agreed with your Line Manager. The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. If you are a permanent WBC employee, you will need to apply for this fixed-term position as an internal secondment opportunity and will need to discuss this with your current line manager prior to applying. DBS clearance is required. Warrington Borough Council is a Disability Confident employer. Warrington Borough Council Offices, 1 Time Square, Warrington, WA1 2NT
