This role covers the stores environment to receive, store, issue and record the traceability of all raw materials, fluids, equipment, spares, tools, PPE, consumables, and client provided materials on the site. The Stores Person will be trained in all aspects of day to day activities that take place in a busy stores environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify and understand the requirement of the technician. Provide prompt and courteous counter service for personnel calling in at stores to collect items. Respond to telephone calls in a prompt and courteous manner. Issue materials to the GSE Technicians, ensuring that all paperwork is signed off correctly. Purchase from local suppliers as and when required. Pick and pack stock orders ready for delivery to outstations. Ensure parts are correctly scanned onto ELC (in-house software used to manage the day to day business). Deliver materials/equipment/items to shop floor/work areas as required. Update Supervisor regularly with the pending parts status. Check and receipt of deliveries to site. Unload delivery vehicles in a safe and timely manner. Drive company Fork Lift Truck (dependent on licence). Organize a goods received quarantine area on a day to day basis. Notify suppliers immediately of any damaged goods or short shipments. Locate and label new stock items as required.
