Patient Flow Manager / Bed/Site Manager

·
Full time
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, motivated, and dynamic registered nurse to join the Patient Flow / site management team at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital.

The role of the patient flow and site manager is integral to the smooth running of the Acute Hospital site, linking the Emergency department and all inpatient areas.

The role provides 7 days a week, 24-hour cover to ensure optimal use of the hospital site resources and capacity flow throughout the hospital. The team links closely with the other acute hospitals within the Health Board and neighbouring hospitals. The position is key to the efficient and effective flow of patients starting in the Emergency Department through to discharge. Excellent communication skills are essential to coordinate with all teams.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

A broad overview of responsibilities includes managing the ILG's bed capacity meeting, assisting in the achievement of key performance and quality standards, supporting nursing, medical, and ancillary staff, as well as patients and their relatives - providing overall responsibility for the hospital site out of hours with support from the on-call senior manager and the executive on call.

This challenging role requires a broad knowledge of clinical specialities and good problem-solving skills combined with a flexible and adaptable approach to the service.

If you have dedication to patient care and an energy to work in a fast-paced challenging environment, we would love to hear from you.
