Job overview We are looking for a professional and experienced Sonographer with a commitment to excellent patient care and high quality imaging to join our friendly and dynamic Non-Obstetric US team. Working Hours:
37.5 hours or pro rata per week variable shifts Main duties of the job We undertake a variety of examinations for ED, inpatients, outpatients and GP patients including urology, baby hips, MSK, vascular, gynae, and soft tissue. We also offer ultrasound access for ambulatory services such as Stroke and Same Day Urgent Care. The ideal candidate will have experience in all areas of Non-Obstetric US. Please note that this post does not include Obstetric Ultrasound as this is run by a separate Department. As part of the role, you will be expected to participate in student Sonographer training and support the service as it develops. Minimum Requirements: PgD in Ultrasound or equivalent HCPC registered Able to travel between sites as required Working for our organisation Our vision is to provide outstanding care for every patient. Person specification Training & Qualifications Diploma in Medical Ultrasound (DMU), a Post Graduate Diploma (PgD) in Diagnostic Ultrasound from a CASE accredited course in the United Kingdom or equivalent from an associated country e.g. AIU diploma Experience Demonstrate extensive clinical knowledge of ultrasound scanning techniques and appropriate technology in multiple areas Demonstrate experience in an acute clinical setting such as the NHS or equivalent Previous experience in research projects/publications Skills Ability to plan and organise a number of complex activities as part of an MDT.
