Become a Shift Leader, responsibilities include allocating incoming AskmyGP requests and acting as a point of contact for clinicians with queries. Ensure all bookable appointments available are utilized on the day. Allocate tasks to admin team members, schedule break times, and check CCAS slots on EMIS. Take responsibility for the effective completion of work during the shift, escalating any challenges to senior management. Handover to the next shift leader and ensure urgent requests and lock-up are completed. Support the creation and introduction of administrative protocols and inspire positive change to maximize efficiency. Contribute to key quality improvement projects and new initiatives to promote continuous improvement. Represent the Patient Services team at Practice and PCN MDT huddles. Participate in the leadership and training of administrative team members. Display flexibility to adapt and take on new responsibilities as they arise. Reception and Patient Relations

Previous experience in a similar role within a Primary Care setting. Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Experience in an environment governed by a range of internal and external policies. Experience using clinical systems such as EMIS and AskmyGP. Knowledge and Skills
Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively with patients, clinicians, and external healthcare providers. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks. Excellent accuracy and attention to detail. Good problem-solving skills. IT literate, able to work with various systems containing confidential information. Positive attitude towards change and willingness to participate in development programmes.
