The Icon Payments Framework (IPF) provides institutions with faster and more cost-effective access to payment solutions through an advanced and highly flexible payments specific platform which seamlessly integrates with our clients’ core and back-office banking applications.
About you
The successful candidate will have demonstrable payments knowledge of multiple payment schemes and a strong background in business analysis in banks or other financial institutions. We are looking for self-starters, who will readily take ownership and lead successful product delivery in an Agile environment. Additionally, you should boast the following:
Excellent analytical skills and a passion for detail – must demonstrate an ability to logically divide up a problem, identify and resolve contradictions and ambiguities.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Extensive experience in the creation and elaboration of epics & user stories using industry best practices.
Demonstrable experience of multiple Payment Schemes, such as SCT Inst, SEPA, FPS, RTGS etc.
In-depth understanding of ISO20022 payment messages, schemas and the usage of specific fields within those messages.
Experience of working in a Kanban or Scrum software development environment, always focusing on delivery of business value.
Ability to manage & prioritise backlogs of work for delivery squads.
Ability to identify and manage dependencies between work items to ensure blockers and conflicts are avoided.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with engineers, architects, and clients at various levels.
Proven track record of working in Agile delivery environments.
Experience with the use of UML diagrams including Sequence Diagrams and State Diagrams using a modelling tool or similar.
What do our Payments Business Analysts do?
Requirements gathering, analysis, elaboration & refinement – for either internal or client-facing (external) delivery projects.
Working with architects and stakeholders to agree on solution/feature designs.
Documenting requirements in detailed user stories reflecting the agreed design and achieving our definition of ready.
Running kickoff sessions with delivery teams to talk through the requirements and agreed design so that the squad understands the overall goal before starting a project.
Maintaining and continually prioritising the backlog of work to deliver maximum business value.
Perform signoff for all user stories.
Ensure our ways of working are adhered to.
Ensure delivered functionality is documented, production-ready, appropriately tested, and fit for purpose.
Run client or internal demos of functionality where necessary.
Identify and report risks and issues, take steps to resolve/mitigate, escalate where necessary.
Raise suggestions for new product functionality to the Product Owner where appropriate.
