The Role: We are seeking a dynamic Payment Operations/Middle Office specialist, who is looking to take the next step up in their career, to join the Amplifi team as a Payment Operations Executive. Based in our London headquarters, in this position you will direct and manage daily customer payment related operational processes, identifying and correcting issues, as well as managing and monitoring systems such as our core banking system – Mambu. Acting as a leader in continuous improvement to build on your experience, to identify improvements and follow through with their implementation, working with stakeholders across product, tech and ops teams as required. You will be process driven, with a keen interest in learning and mastering new systems. Responsibilities: Process payments and manage adjustments to customer accounts for loan accounts and the upcoming credit card product launch. Handle customer change requests related to repayment schedules and account modifications. Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for internal inquiries related to designated software packages and associated processes. Regularly update and maintain process documentation and user manuals to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and communicate the business and customer impact of identified issues. Continuously identify opportunities to enhance and automate processes, driving improvements and innovation within the team. Participate in payment-related projects, including investigating, testing, and implementing system updates and industry regulation changes. Minimum Requirements: Experience of payment operations or transaction processing, ideally in a bank or other financial services provider dealing with consumer lending. Knowledge of Payment Systems Regulations and any of Faster Payments, Direct Debit, BACS, Open Banking (e.g. Instant Pay or VRP) and VISA schemes would also be advantageous. Exposure to credit card operations and systems would be advantageous. Experience in core banking systems administration and/or management. An inquisitive nature, keen to master new systems and be the ‘go to’ person for related queries. Numerate with good attention to detail. A champion for improved efficiency – a history of identifying system or process weakness and implementing change. Great communicator, able to liaise with internal stakeholders and vendors to resolve issues. Great planning and organisation skills. Benefits: Competitive salary. 25 days annual leave.
