Stafforce are recruiting a Payroll Assistant for a client based in the Billingham area due to strong growth which has led to a significant increase in headcount. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Assistant will be a key person in supporting the administration of the two departments, Payroll and HR, as well as supporting/covering the Payroll process and ad-hoc requirements when needed. Our client currently consists of three business units that the role will support.

You will be responsible for: Payroll processing cover Providing admin support - starters/leavers, changes in contracts, time and attendance etc Employee benefits Reporting various weekly, monthly and ad-hoc key information Supporting the Payroll Manager with payroll changes and statutory reporting Reviewing existing processes and implementing improvements Supporting HR processes Recruitment, contracts, updating records Liaising between payroll and HR Ad-hoc HR/Payroll duties as required The above is not an exhaustive list and you will be required to support the HR and Payroll function as needed.

Candidate Requirements: Minimum 2 years working in Payroll/HR Be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative Take ownership and see a task through to the end Strong Microsoft Excel skills Strong analytical skills Be adaptable, flexible and inquisitive Show desire to review and improve existing processes

Highly Desirable: SAGE Payroll Knowledge Worked with varying employment contracts (shift patterns, overtime etc) Worked in a manufacturing environment
