The role of Payroll Administrator is a key hire for Optical Express, the team ensures our professional staff are appropriately scheduled in line with business and patient demands.

Essential Skills

Administer Payroll, completing from start to end, ensuring that all employees are paid on time and correctly.

To accurately input and process all relevant data required for Payroll, including, salaries, overtime/shift/call-out payments, bonuses, benefit deductions, voluntary deductions, maternity/paternity allowances, sickness.

Manage all leave of absence requests (maternity, paternity, adoption, parental leave, unpaid leave, and jury service).

Provide day to day Payroll and administration support in a timely and accurate manner, dealing with all queries raised.

Assist with Payroll audits as required.

Maintaining employees’ information.

Maintain employees’ leave balances, ensuring they are aligned to local policies.

Resolve any Issues in a timely manner and escalating when required.

Maintaining electronic filing ensuring that folders are kept as streamlined as possible.

Proactively support a variety of projects.

Provide support and assistance to HR Department.

Problem solving – ability to identify and advise on improvements and efficiencies to be gained.
