Reed are currently working with a dynamic client, a leading firm in Accountancy Practice. They pride themselves on delivering exceptional financial services to their clients, and we're looking for a dedicated Senior Payroll and Bookkeeping Specialist to join their growing team in Ingatestone. Key Responsibilities: Manage and process payroll for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations. Maintain and update bookkeeping records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial statements. Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring timely and accurate filings. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Provide support during audits and liaise with external auditors as needed. Offer expert advice on payroll and bookkeeping matters to clients and internal teams. Requirements: Proven experience in payroll processing and bookkeeping, preferably in a senior role. Strong knowledge of payroll software and accounting systems (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero). Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Relevant qualifications (e.g., AAT, CIPP) are highly desirable.
