Role Summary

This is an exciting and challenging position for a detail-oriented administrator to either create a career in pension’s payroll processing or continue their existing career within this field with the market leader. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a clear focus on accuracy, ability to follow procedures, and a good understanding of advanced Excel activities such as macros and formulae.

Please note that this role will require enhanced referencing (Met Police CTC Clearance, Armed Forces, BPSS and MyCSP, SC) and this process can take up to 6 months.

Any individual who has been abroad for 3 months or longer in the past 5 years will unfortunately not pass this security and therefore we cannot accept applications on this basis.

Core Duties/Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Provide an excellent service to customers as per agreed SLAs and KPIs

Knowledge of payroll desirable but not essential

Ability to work across multiple systems

Reconciliation of payments and other outputs

Possess a process-driven mindset, updating processes, checklists, and other documentation where necessary and adhering to the annual audit updates on the same

Ability to identify potential problems and risks associated with bulk transactions, reports, and systems

Assisting with the compliance and maintenance of ISO standard by adhering to the Quality Management System

Ability to identify and implement process improvements within the immediate area of work responsibility in order to improve workflows and customer service

Carry out project work and ad-hoc activities as determined by line management

General housekeeping duties, for example filing emails, keeping shared folders tidy

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills, and behaviours:

Knowledge or previous experience of a payroll or financial services environment desirable but not essential

Knowledge of UK RTI Tax reporting is desirable but not essential together with knowledge of Irish and IOM Tax reporting

Thorough and meticulous with extreme attention to detail

Self-disciplined to follow documented instructions

Advanced and accurate data entry skills

Experience using Microsoft Office packages

Ability to identify and escalate issues

Excellent communication skills responding to queries from both internal and external stakeholders

Good interpersonal skills within a team

Highly organised and self-motivated with regards to managing your own workload, with the ability to prioritise and hit extremely tight deadlines

Be aware of team workloads and readily available to assist colleagues
