Portfolio Payroll are working with a well-established manufacturing business based in Hull who is looking for a hands-on Management Accountant to join the rapidly growing finance team. This opportunity offers study support for candidates who are ACCA/CIMA/AAT studiers and pay up to 43,000.
Reporting to the Financial Controller as a Management Accountant you will be responsible for:
Producing financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries.
Working with commercial colleagues to produce the budgets and forecasts for the contracts, monitoring performance against agreed targets and KPIs.
Providing accurate and meaningful analysis to the Commercial Manager and supporting data to assist with key decision-making at contract level, showing a thorough understanding of the contract.
Owning the month-end, year-end, and budget processes.
Aiding product profitability reporting.
Creating and maintaining operational KPI reporting packs.
Providing finance aid for any system implementations.
Completing ad hoc tasks.
Experience and Qualifications
Qualified or Part-Qualified (ACA / CIMA / ACCA / AAT or equivalent).
Accounting experience, ideally in a commercial finance role.
Intermediate / advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
Problem-solving and analytical skills.
A continuous improvement mentality with the ability to challenge existing processes.
Awareness of Financial Reporting Standards and other developments within global accounting practices and the ability to apply them within the company.
