As Payroll and Pensions Officer, you’ll join our client’s Employee Services Team, forming part of their Head Office support and People (HR) function, managing essential services like payroll, benefits, and pensions. What you’ll do:
Advisory Support:
Provide guidance on our client's policies, procedures, contractual terms and conditions, including rates of pay and employee benefits.
Data Management:
Manage and maintain all employee data, both computerized and manual, ensuring accurate data input related to employee lifecycle events.
Pension Submissions:
Process all monthly pension data, including leavers' forms for allocated schemes, and ensure compliance with NMW and RLW regulations.
Compliance and Queries:
Address employee, manager, and provider queries while maintaining timely response standards.
Manual Calculations:
Conduct necessary calculations, such as for overtime, gross-to-net adjustments, statutory payments, starters, and leavers.
Mailbox Monitoring:
Manage relevant mailboxes, responding to and escalating complex queries as needed.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to current statutory regulations, including those related to benefits, tax, National Minimum Wage, and GDPR.
What you need:
Solid understanding of UK Payroll Regulations
Strong knowledge of UK pension processes and legislation
Previous experience in a payroll and/or pensions officer role
Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Proficient IT and Microsoft Office skills
Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
Excellent literacy, numeracy, and communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong knowledge of GDPR
