Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire Salary: Circa £25,000 Job Type: Full-time, Fixed-Term Contract (9 - 12 months) We are currently seeking a Payroll Assistant to join our team in Peterborough on a fixed-term contract basis due to maternity leave. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals with prior payroll experience, offering full training and a chance to work within a dynamic finance team. Benefits:

Download and process payroll data from internal systems. Calculate mileage and travel time payments. Respond to email and telephone queries. Raise billing and invoicing for services provided. Import and balance payroll data within the payroll software. Work towards department KPIs alongside your team. Support other team members during holiday periods. Send out documents including customer invoices and payslips. Assist the finance team with other administrative tasks to ensure all deadlines are met. Required Skills & Qualifications:

Previous experience within a payroll environment. Strong organisational and time management skills. Excellent communication skills, capable of handling queries effectively. Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Office. Ability to work flexibly within a team and meet strict deadlines.
