We are currently seeking a skilled Payroll Manager to join a well-established accountancy firm in the Abingdon area. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to lead the payroll department and manage a large portfolio of clients. Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee the payroll department to ensure efficient processing of monthly payrolls. Act as the first point of contact for clients with payroll-related queries, providing excellent client service and support. Handle communications with clients via phone and email, ensuring their payroll needs are met promptly. Assist with filings to Companies House, including company secretarial services. Provide support with client registrations and HMRC matters. Contribute to credit control efforts as needed. Minimum Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years' payroll experience, ideally gained within an accountancy firm. Full UK driving license is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience with Xero accounting software is advantageous but not essential. Proactive attitude, capable of working independently in a small team environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
