Job Title: Payroll and Information Manager Salary: £35,232 to £40,590 p.a. Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week Location: Ipswich Casanovas Recruitment Solutions are seeking a Payroll and Information Manager to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of payroll operations, drive compliance with employment law, and enhance HR and payroll systems. In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping processes, generating insightful management reports, and delivering top-quality service to the College community. Main areas of responsibility:

Oversee the monthly payroll process, ensuring accurate administration, timely BACS payments, and distribution of payslip. Respond to queries from staff, Inland Revenue, Benefits Agency, and DSS; prepare statutory reports and annual returns. Manage payroll-related queries on salaries, tax, and NI, while training HR and payroll staff to handle queries effectively. Administer statutory and occupational sick and maternity pay schemes, advising staff as needed. Reconcile payroll-related accounts, generate monthly reports, and liaise with finance teams. Ensure accurate processing of payroll for starters and leavers and provide pay-related guidance. Maintain and enhance payroll systems, ensuring backups and system updates are regularly conducted. Manage pension schemes (e.g., TPS and LGPS), including data input, monthly payments, and annual returns. Produce statistical reports, including staffing forecasts, absence records, and external submissions. Supervise and appraise payroll staff, setting priorities, and overseeing training and development. Support audits, update the Payroll Manual, and recommend improvements to procedures and systems. Represent HR and Payroll in internal and external working groups and assist with strategic projects. Ensure compliance with Data Protection, Health and Safety regulations, and other legal obligations. Propose and implement system enhancements to improve payroll operations. Required Skills & Desired Experience:

Competent with IT including Microsoft Office. Proven Payroll experience. Strong knowledge of basic taxation and NI procedures. Good understanding of employment law and best practices. Work well as a team as well as individually with minimal supervision. Operate to strict deadlines and have great time management. Proactive and flexible approach. Ready to make an impact?
