This is a fully remote opportunity in which you will lead the payroll team with regular duties which include but are not limited to: Payroll Responsibilities:

Lead the payroll function for the UK/APAC/Ireland. Manage two members of staff. Work with the Finance Team on continuous improvement of systems/processes. Provide monthly analysis of payroll costs and headcount for the month end accounts. Lead the audit process for payroll. Communicate with the Human Resources Department and other managers to ensure effective payroll information capture. Create and maintain employee payroll records. Ensure confidentiality of employee and payroll information. Adhere to all policies and procedures relating to staff salaries and payments. Process new starters and leavers. Process Statutory Sick Pay (SSP), Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP) and other statutory payments. Issue pay slips to employees confidentially and in a timely manner. Administer the pension auto-enrolment accurately and submit returns to the pension scheme provider in a timely manner. Communicate with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) to ensure timely completion of statutory reporting and processing of notices. Process statutory tax payments and salary payments to employees in a timely manner. Prepare all payroll related reports for management use. Investigate and answer all queries by employees on salary related discrepancies. Process all overtime and out of hours claims. General Responsibilities:

Comply with policies and procedures relating to health, safety, security, confidentiality, and data protection. Support diversity and ensure equal opportunities for all. Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the Company. Support the role of other professionals. Attend and participate in relevant meetings. Participate in training and performance development activities. Perform any other duties of a similar nature as required. Required Skills and Abilities:

Experience of working within a Payroll Function. Experience of managing a team. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail and an investigative nature. Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and meet deadlines. Highly motivated. Ability to work as a team member and build strong working relationships. Effective interpersonal, communication, and literacy skills. Able to prioritise workload and work under own initiative. High level of flexibility and dependability. Educational Requirements:

Minimum of 4 GCSEs (to include Grades A-C in English Language and Maths) or equivalent. Recognized qualification as a payroll professional would be advantageous. At least five years experience working in a payroll role and a detailed working knowledge of PAYE, NIC, SSP, SMP and other statutory payments. Workday Payroll experience is advantageous.
