Manage, oversee and assist with the end-to-end processing of all payroll and pension. Resolve and review payroll queries. Ensure that procedures and processes are followed accurately to meet legislative requirements. Implement new and changing employment legislation to ensure accuracy. Manage and supervise the payroll team, completing regular training, feedback, development plans, and admin. Ensure team is trained and up-to-date with payroll best practices and legislative changes. Ensure that all HMRC submissions are made. Carry out payroll reconciliations and ensure all legislative timescales are adhered to. Ensure that the payroll reports are provided to the finance team in a timely manner. Involvement in process improvement and changes to develop efficiencies and a positive culture within the payroll and wider finance team. Maintain and monitor the payroll systems and software. What you'll need to succeed
End-to-end payroll experience within a fast-paced environment. Experience in monthly, salaried, weekly, and hourly payroll processing. Experience of leading and coaching a small team. Experience dealing with complex payroll processing. Ability to follow and implement new payroll legislation. CIPP - desirable, not essential. Sage 50 Payroll - desirable. Undertake a clear DBS check.
