About the Role:

Reporting to a Payroll Manager, as Payroll Officer, you will be integral to our client's finance team. Your main tasks will involve: Managing comprehensive payroll processes including calculations of PAYE, FPS, and EPS submissions. Manually calculating statutory payments such as SMP, SPP, and SSP. Understanding and applying NIC for new joiners and managing adjustments. Addressing and resolving queries related to tax code changes and National Insurance updates. Conducting thorough checks and balances within the payroll process to ensure accuracy. Preparing and submitting pension data to various providers. Keeping abreast of changes in payroll regulations and ensuring compliance.

About You: You have a robust background in payroll, with at least 2-3 years of experience, preferably in a payroll bureau, commercial, or practice setting, managing multiple payroll cycles. Proficiency in payroll software such as Sage, Iris, or Staffology is highly desirable. Your communication skills are strong, allowing you to interact effectively with both clients and team members.
