An exciting opportunity has come up in our Regional Office for a Payroll Officer / Payroll Lead. We are seeking to appoint a skilled and dedicated Payroll Officer/Payroll Lead who not only excels in managing payroll operations but also plays a key role in refining and improving our internal processes, ensuring efficiency and consistency. This standalone position offers the opportunity to own and manage the payroll process for our valued employees. As part of the wider Finance team, you will use the payroll system to handle the monthly payroll cycle with precision and efficiency. Duties and Responsibilities

Process and manage the end-to-end monthly payroll. Ensure compliance with relevant payroll legislation and organisational policies. Address payroll queries and provide excellent support to our employees. Use the Civica system to maintain and update payroll data, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Collaborate with the Finance team to deliver payroll reports and insights. Manage statutory deductions, including pensions, tax, and NI contributions. Stay informed on payroll legislation and best practices. All posts offered are subject to two satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS disclosure. About You

We are looking for someone who has proven experience in managing payroll, ideally in a standalone role and has familiarity with Civica or similar payroll systems. Has strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and processes with exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities with the ability to work independently and prioritise effectively.
