SF Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for:
Processing end-to-end payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance Managing payroll queries from staff and resolving them promptly Calculating statutory payments, including SSP, SMP, and SPP Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations, including RTI submissions Processing new starters, leavers, and contractual changes Managing pension contributions and liaising with providers Maintaining accurate payroll records and employee data Assisting with year-end payroll processes, including P60s and P11Ds
The successful candidate will have:
Proven experience in payroll processing, ideally in a high-volume environment Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Proficiency in ADP, Desirable not Essential Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
