As part of a globally recognised business, your primary role will be to ensure our people get paid the right amount, on time, every time. You will also be pivotal in improving processes and ensuring the data is the best it can be. As the employee expert for finance, your role will also encompass accounting for all things relating to people. Having recently moved to Datapay, there will be a lot of opportunity to make the role your own as well as possible future opportunities to take on other accounting-related tasks. In this role, you will be the lead on various aspects such as: Ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for Trimble New Zealand (400+ employees), including IRD returns, payments and correspondence. Ensure data integrity from Trimble’s Workday (HR time tracking system) before loading it into Datapay (3rd Party payroll processing system). Provide excellent customer service, responding promptly and clearly to all payroll and people cost related enquiries. Provide technical payroll advice, and keep up to date with payroll related employment law changes. Take ownership of the completion of payroll-related accounting, including journals, accruals and reconciliations. Review and account for payroll related costs, including health care, insurance, bike schemes. Lead and implement payroll process improvements. Prepare and provide working papers to Global and local auditors. Correspond with Corporate departments in relation to Trimble’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) and Registered Stock Unit (RSU) programs. What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

Strong understanding of payroll legislation. Experience in Datacom Datapay highly desirable. Experience of accounting for payroll. Experience in process change and/or processing complex end-to-end payroll processes in a large organization. Demonstrable years experience in a payroll position. Familiarity with Workday is advantageous. Intermediate or Advanced ability to use Excel or Google Sheets. About Your Location
