We are looking for a PBS Practitioner to join our growing team and continue to provide exemplary care to our service users. As a PBS Practitioner, you will be key to ensuring the support worker teams are able to contribute to that high standard of care through the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services and Clinical Psychologist, you will work flexibly to meet the PBS needs of the individuals we support. You will ensure that the service meets the physical, environmental, social, and emotional wellbeing of each person in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence and wellbeing. This position will include networking across multiple services to provide PBS support, giving opportunity to develop wider experience. You must be committed to the development of the teams and the home's mission to achieve the PBS quality framework. Main Duties of the Job

As a PBS Practitioner, you will be passionate about improving the quality of life for those living within our services and achieving improved outcomes. You will achieve this through providing high-quality PBS advice, training, and implementation across the tiers of support. You will play a key role in supporting teams to create enabling environments and reducing behaviour-based barriers to progression. As the PBS Practitioner, you will be working under the direction and management of the Directors. If required, you will receive clinical supervision, which can be used as a formal process of professional support, reflection, and learning that contributes to individual development. About Us

You will do this by: Providing PBS guidance and support to the services and young people. Providing coaching, training, and mentoring to the staff teams. Supporting the embedding of Active support, Creating capable environments, Human rights, Trauma-informed care, Restraint reduction, and Focused based support. Conducting individual assessments, including for those displaying behaviours of concern. Providing guidance with pro-active strategies of support and risk management plans. Representing the PBS support team as part of MDT meetings, as required. Monitoring and analysing behavioural data, and creating reports evidencing behavioural incident reduction. Attending and facilitating best practice meetings. Requirement of Role

Understanding the experiences and needs of those you will be supporting is extremely important. Therefore, the successful candidate will: Have achieved, or is working towards a level 4 PBS qualification. Have a minimum of 2 years experience within the Health and Social Care sector. Have an understanding of MCA/DoLS, Restraint Reduction, Human Rights, Creating capable environments, Trauma Informed Care, Positive Behaviour Support, and Supporting Behaviours of concern. Possess excellent interpersonal, prioritisation, and communication skills, both verbal and written. Understand the use of functional assessment and intervention. Have a valid BACB, NMC, or HCPC accreditation. Communicate complex and sensitive information effectively. Have proven experience of working with young people with complex mental health diagnoses. Be confident with teamwork, leadership, and effective communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to use own initiative, excellent organisational and time management skills. Ensure compliance with CQC and OFSTED requirements. Be willing to travel to service locations. Maintain appropriate and accurate records of all documentation, making timely submissions of the planning outcomes achieved, and evaluate all risk management plans. Make ongoing adjustments and recommendations to ensure the plan of care is of a consistently high standard and that the needs of the individuals are being met, with all risks reduced as far as possible. Maintain your own continuous professional development (CPD) by attending and participating in identified meetings and learning opportunities, to enhance your own skills and knowledge. Experience

2 years experience working within a CAMHS setting. Qualifications

Relevant Bachelor's degree in PBS or related subject. Driving License. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
