Our client, a well-established consultancy in the engineering sector, is looking for a highly skilled Senior PCB Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to innovative projects, ensuring high-quality standards and delivering precise results.

Key Responsibilities

Generating and understanding schematic design and its requirements Managing the PCB CAD system, including creation/modification of component symbols and PCB footprints Producing full sets of documentation for fabrication and assembly of PCB designs Ensuring deliverables meet agreed timescales, specifications, and quality standards in accordance with ISO9001 procedures Conducting internal and external customer design reviews and presenting findings Maintaining high professional standards and providing robust expertise in PCB design

Job Requirements

Proficient in the PCB design of RF, digital, analogue, and power PCBs Advanced knowledge of constraints and the use of the constraint manager Experienced in power supply, analogue, digital, and mixed signal circuit design Expertise in HDI technologies including micro vias, stacked via, via-in-pad, and back drill Strong portfolio of successfully completed PCB design projects High skill level using PCB design tools, especially Altium for schematic capture and PCB layout Familiarity with Siemens PADS software for legacy designs is advantageous Good working knowledge of surface mount technology, DFA, DFM techniques, IPC standards, and EMI/EMC requirements HNC/HND or degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering with relevant industry experience Experience in product design & development, working closely with mechanical design teams Self-motivated, able to work independently, confidently, and under pressure
