Job Title: PCB Test Engineer Job Description: An exciting opportunity for an Electronics Engineer to join a team specializing in laboratory testing and assembling data acquisition controller board assemblies and modules. This role involves working with both new and legacy products within a well-established company in the test equipment technology sector. Department: PCB Test - Reporting to the Service Manager Personal Characteristics & Skills: Strong organizational and planning abilities. Technically inclined with a problem-solving mindset. Motivational skills to enhance team productivity. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Consistently meets tight deadlines. Self-motivated and proactive. Passionate about engineering and innovation. Quality-focused with attention to detail. Punctual and reliable. Willing to go the extra mile to meet production and testing requirements. Effective inter-departmental communication for problem-solving and support of R&D activities. Technical Skills Required: Proficient in reading electronics schematics. Familiarity with I/O systems. Hands-on experience with analogue and digital electronics. Testing and stock management of individual PCBs upon supplier receipt. Assembly and testing of data acquisition modules as per work orders. Competent with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to create and maintain technical documentation. Experience in electronic fault finding. Skilled in using electronic test equipment (e.g., DVM, oscilloscope, process calibrator). Understanding of QA reporting and maintaining test records. Ability to develop and refine build and test procedures. Experience with soldering and surface-mount technology. Capability to design and produce test equipment. Familiarity with 3D printing (advantageous but not essential).
