GSL Education is currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Sports/PE Graduate to join a vibrant secondary school in Southampton. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while working in a supportive environment that will help you develop the skills necessary to become a qualified teacher. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the delivery of engaging Physical Education lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Support students in practical and theoretical PE activities, ensuring their understanding and participation. Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with varying abilities to help them achieve their potential. Assist in the preparation and organisation of sports events, activities, and extracurricular clubs. Monitor and track students' progress, providing feedback and additional support when needed. Collaborate with the PE department to develop and deliver innovative lesson plans and activities. The Ideal Candidate: A degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related subject (2:2 or above). A genuine passion for Physical Education and a desire to pursue a career in teaching. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students. A proactive, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to supporting students' learning. Previous experience working with young people (e.g., coaching, tutoring, mentoring) is desirable but not essential. A strong commitment to student development and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. This role provides an excellent foundation for a graduate to develop their teaching skills while contributing to the overall success of the PE department.
