We are recruiting for a Pensions Officer to join our continually growing Operations Service area. Our brand-new offices are based at the i9 building in Wolverhampton and is an excellent location for transport links by car, bus, train and tram.
What the day will look like
Responsibilities include:
To analyse, calculate and authorise over/under payments of pension manually and have sound knowledge of tax.
To be responsible for ensuring that work is completed to a high standard through peer review of calculation, data output and correspondence on a regular basis and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with payroll deadlines.
Supporting the day-to-day management of the team's workload ensuring priority cases are reviewed and actioned promptly together with the Pensions Team Leader and Lead Pension Officer.
Responsible for running of monthly, quarterly and yearly periodic payrolls in accordance with established timetables and authorising the payment figures, including authorising and sending of deductions to external bodies.
About you
The ideal candidate will have payroll experience, a good grasp of maths, attention to detail and communication skills.
