Job Description -The People Operations function exists to provide operational support to the business and colleagues across the De Beers Group, with an aim to make the lives of those we work with – brilliant. The function forms part of the De Beers Group HR team, to offer an impeccable employee experience and advisory support across both digital and transactional HR services. The purpose of this role is to support the People Operations Manager and the wider HR team with the delivery of the strategic HR goal/s through excellent administration and delivery of exceptional experience to all De Beers stakeholders. The Role: Employee Experience Process all HR transactional activity relating to the employee lifecycle, including but not limited to; offer letters, contracts, change forms, leaver documents, references in line with SLA’s. Management of screening using our third-party platform Vero, ensuring screening is on track for all new joiners to meet their agreed start date. Assist in the recruitment process, including but not limited to; adding jobs to our recruitment system (Smart Recruiters). Act as the first point of contact for all HR queries; answering the shared HR phone and maintaining the People Services inbox in line with SLA’s. Support with the delivery of employee and Manager training, new starter induction and hosting coffee catch ups where applicable. Provide HR and general administrative support and advice to the wider HR team and key stakeholders throughout the entire employment lifecycle, including policy queries, annual leave queries, benefits & reward queries etc. Processing of benefits such as private medical insurance, employee discount, season ticket loans and eyecare vouchers. Payroll Processing Maintain the monthly payroll tracker accurately and timely, ensuring coordination of the monthly administration payroll process, including approval of administrative forms and updating the HRIS in time for payroll cut off. Liaise with the payroll team to ensure all payroll changes are processed and accurately communicated. Completion of monthly payroll checks, ensuring absolute accuracy of information. Data Management Managing data entry within the HRIS (SuccessFactors) including but not limited to; verifying data for part time employees, employees passing probation periods, holiday balance accruals, headcount reconciliation. Ensure that employee records and data are accurately and timely maintained on the HRIS by conducting regular data audits and cleanse. Input and maintain data on the employee pension platform. Update and maintain a central archive of all standard practices, policies, procedures, templates and protocols relating to the activities of the People Services department. Additional Work together with the team to help identify and implement process improvements. Provide administrative support on key HR projects and cyclical processes such as the annual salary review and appraisal process. Supporting the wider HR team with notetaking for ER cases. Full JD will be provided at interview stage.

Qualifications A degree and/or CIPD certification is preferred (or overseas equivalent). Previous experience in a similar HR Assistant/ support role. Experience using HR Information Systems and/or Payroll System. Experience with SAP and Success Factors (desired). The ability to find value in our people data and communicate this clearly to key stakeholders. Curiosity and determination to improve systems and processes. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to demonstrate sensitivity and confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team. Strong experience with all Microsoft Applications including Outlook, Excel and Word. Good knowledge of GDPR and compliance. Good knowledge of local HR legislation. Establish and maintain good working relationships and provide a high level of customer service. Ability to use initiative to problem solve. A high level of attention to detail.
