The Scottish Events Campus (SEC) is looking to expand their People Operations team to assist with staffing arrangements onsite. We believe that our employees are our greatest asset, and we're dedicated to creating an inclusive and vibrant workplace where everyone can thrive.
Duties:
- Liaise with SEC Food staff and agencies, where applicable, to ensure staffing needs for all events are met across all front of house and back of house departments to ensure the smooth operation of the catering function
- During operational days, coordinate staff check in / check out for events and ensure all procedures are met
- Ensure all staff are adhering with company Uniform Standard requirements
- Ensure that all event staff have been allocated to their designated working area
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed by all casual workers and employees
- Establish and monitor effective employee relations
- Participate in disciplinary procedures as required by the head of departments
- Keep personal files up-to-date, confidential, and complete with all necessary forms
- Assist with end-to-end Recruitment including conducting interviews for variable staff
- Assist with Recruitment Events and ad hoc recruitment tasks and administration
- Assist with training and onboarding of variable new starters
About you:
- Previous experience in a fast paced, dynamic hospitality or catering environment is essential
- Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to work under pressure and to multiple deadlines.
- Excellent Communication and People Skills
- Working collaboratively with line managers to drive commercial performance through people.
- A positive and assertive attitude towards work
- Great attention to detail and able to always provide a confidential service to staff members
- Ability to understand commercial drivers of the business and the implications of your choices and interventions
- Takes responsibility to provide consistent and pragmatic and timely advice and delivery solutions that meet business needs
- Show determination and drive to deliver results and overcome challenges.
- Previous experience within a Human Resources or Staffing environment beneficial
- A keen interest in Human Resources and Catering and Events
