We support employees and embrace diversity, which goes beyond policies and procedures, as we provide an environment that nurtures inclusivity and engagement. From comprehensive training programmes a wide variety of apprenticeships and the opportunity to support the community, with up to 3-days a year to volunteer, we provide a place where employees can be at their best. This role will oversee the entire payroll process and manage the employee benefits program for our UK-based workforce. You’ll be responsible for processing all legal pay activity, ensuring compliance with UK payroll legislation, and providing a high standard of service to employees regarding their pay and benefits. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive individual with a strong background in UK payroll and benefits administration. Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing:

Accurately process the end-to-end payroll for all UK employees, including salaries, bonuses, commissions, overtime, and statutory payments. Legal Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all UK payroll and tax legislation, including PAYE, National Insurance, auto-enrolment pensions, and other statutory deductions. Benefits Administration:

Administer employee benefits programs, including pensions, health insurance, and other employee perks, ensuring timely updates and accurate records. Reporting & Documentation:

Prepare and submit accurate payroll reports to management and statutory bodies (e.g., HMRC, pensions providers). Employee Queries:

Act as the first point of contact for employee payroll and benefits-related queries, resolving issues efficiently and professionally. Process Improvement:

Continuously identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and ensure best practices are followed to enhance accuracy and efficiency. System Management:

Ensure that payroll and benefits systems are up to date and accurately reflect changes in employee data, including pay rates, deductions, and benefits elections. Year-End Processing:

Manage year-end payroll processes, including the preparation of P60s, P11Ds, and other year-end documentation. Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate, confidential payroll records and employee benefit documentation in accordance with company policy and UK legal requirements. Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in UK payroll processing, with a strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and tax regulations. Experience with managing employee benefits administration, including pensions and other statutory benefits. Proficient with payroll software (Dayforce experience would be advantageous), and comfortable using HRIS and reporting tools. Strong attention to detail, with excellent organisational and time management skills. The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-centric approach to resolving employee queries. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of HMRC reporting, RTI, and auto-enrolment requirements. CIPD qualification or payroll-specific certification (e.g., CIPP) is desirable but not essential. What We Offer:

Competitive salary with benefits package. A collaborative and supportive work environment. Opportunities for professional development and career growth. Flexible working arrangements, including hybrid/remote options. A growing range of health and wellness benefits. If you are a seasoned Payroll & Benefits Administrator with a passion for compliance and an eye for detail, we would love to hear from you!
