We have an exciting new opportunity for a

Change & Communications Manager

to join Robert Walters as a Workforce Consultant. As an employed Workforce Consultant, you will benefit from permanent employment with Robert Walters and will be deployed on an interim or project basis into our clients' organisations, in return we will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills with ongoing training and professional accreditations.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving effective change management, communication and engagement strategies across a programme of business transformation initiatives. You will work closely with Internal Comms, Business Leads and People Leadership Teams to develop and execute change management and communication plans that align with the company's strategic objectives and foster employee engagement throughout our transformation processes.

Key accountabilities include:

Develop and implement comprehensive change management, colleague communication and engagement strategies and plans to support our transformation programmes, including those related to organisational structural change, Union consultation and engagement etc. Collaborate with People Team and business leaders to ensure that communication strategies are aligned with the overall change management objectives and tailored to diverse stakeholder groups. Craft compelling and transparent messaging to convey the rationale behind transformation efforts, address potential concerns, and inspire colleague commitment and resilience. Make best use of communication channels, including digital platforms, town hall meetings, newsletters, and other mediums, to disseminate information and facilitate two-way dialogue between leadership and colleagues. Measure the effectiveness of communication strategies through feedback mechanisms, surveys, and other tools, and make data-driven adjustments as necessary. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and change agents, providing guidance on communication best practices and potential areas of resistance. Manage stakeholder relationships effectively, including executives, managers, and wider colleagues, to ensure alignment and understanding of change initiatives.

Required skills & experience includes:

Proven experience of developing change management strategies and plans. Proven experience in complex transformation communications (involving structural change and related people impacts, including cultural change) within a corporate setting, with a deep understanding of HR principles and practices with a good blend of strategic, technical and creative skills. A strong understanding of customer experience/employee journeys (EX). A proven ability to build strong relationships and cut through noise to influence stakeholders through own experience and credibility producing the right outcome. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, persuasive, and empathetic messages for diverse audiences. Strong project management abilities, including the capacity to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and collaborate across cross-functional teams. Proficiency in leveraging digital communication tools and platforms to engage employees, apply brand guidelines and measure the impact of communication efforts. Demonstrated ability to navigate complex organizational structures and build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and other presentation tools to create impactful and visually engaging materials. You don’t necessarily need to have come from financial services, but experience in a highly regulated industry is essential. Ideally you would have worked in an organisation that has moved to an Agile / Product-oriented operating model, and been involved in the change management, comms & engagement aspects of that move. Highly analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data and insights to drive decision making and performance tracking.
