The per diem Radiographer will be responsible for the following:

Reviews and evaluates requisitions for Diagnostic imaging procedures, abstracting data from patient charts and determining appropriateness of procedure prescribed given diagnosis and clinical signs for routine examinations. Identify patients according to Hospital Policy with 2 identifiers. Selects appropriate equipment and technical factors to identify pathologic and normal anatomy. Assesses patients' and parents' physical and emotional status and ability to respond to instructions and develop a care plan for that patients' specific needs. Explain the examination and is able to answer questions from patient and parents regarding the exam and Radiation exposure, practices ALARA.Follows Departmental QC/Data Integrity Workflow. Practices High Reliability Training. Responds to the uniqueness of the patient, creating a supportive environment for the patient and the family. Identifies and reports equipment malfunctions through the INeedit application. Assists in organizing and maintaining daily operations. Participates in departmental and hospital meetings. Completes all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Complies with ETU. Complies with HIPAA regulations. Practices the 6 core values of the Hospital; excellence, innovation, communication, respect, teamwork and accountability. Furthers professional education and maintains knowledge of current regulations and standards, policies and procedures. Maintains up-to-date licensure/certification/registration in departmental file. To qualify, you must have:

An Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology is required. The analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring the use of scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and in‑depth, experienced‑based knowledge. MA Radiographer license and ARRT certification is required. The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
