About the role This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and innovative team in a newly created role. The purpose of the Performance and Improvement Officer role is to deliver effective performance management and continuous improvement initiatives, to provide support in these areas across the whole organisation, and to provide guidance and support on policy development. As part of our team, you will be responsible for: · Implementing the council’s Performance Management Framework and leading on performance monitoring across service plans and the Council Plan. · Ensuring risk management practices are embedded across the organisation. · Facilitating or leading improvement projects, including using performance management and process reengineering tools to drive continuous improvement. · Providing guidance and support to colleagues on policy development, research and consultation. Who should apply? We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic individual who has performance or change management experience, and who will bring positive energy to the role. To be successful, you will also need: · To be proactive and organised; · To have excellent communication, negotiation, organisational and influencing skills; · Experience in dealing with people at a range of levels within an organisation; · Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand and interpret data and effectively develop solutions; and · A willingness to adapt to different scenarios and build strong relationships with partners, operational teams and services. Experience in performance or risk management systems, such as Ideagen, is desirable but not essential. Interviews for this role will be held on Friday 20 September.
