What you’ll do If successful, you will be working as part of the Joint Performance Team, supporting performance improvement for Southeastern and Network Rail, ensuring clearly documented plans are delivered by responsible functions. The JPT is made up of Performance professionals from Southeastern and Network Rail Kent Route, focused on improving on-time train performance. You will have several key responsibilities in this role that will include but not be limited to: Implementing company procedures for all aspects of performance improvement management contained within the Performance Strategy for Southeastern and Network Rail Kent Route. Co-ordinating, supporting, and delivering performance improvement plans for the route/area. Liaising with specified delivery units for performance improvement projects and working across teams to ensure risks and benefits are understood. Producing well-researched and highly numerate analyses of business cases for performance improvements. Acting as the single point of contact for performance-related projects during implementation. Supporting effective sharing of best practice and cross-learning processes via the Performance Improvement Management System (PIMS) Manager. Monitoring and reporting the progress and effectiveness of all performance improvement initiatives. Liaising with route teams to document mitigation actions from Significant Performance Incident Reviews (SPIRs). Identifying actions required to mitigate emerging trends in performance and escalating where appropriate. Undertaking local assessments against the RM3-P Wheel within the PIMS framework. The experience you’ll need To be considered for this role, we recommend you demonstrate the below in your application: Articulate, numerate, and able to produce concise and logical written reports. Determined and persuasive, able to follow through to completion despite obstacles. Familiar with crew diagramming and rosters. Clear understanding of Southeastern’s performance objectives at the company level. Thorough knowledge of Southeastern and Network Rail operations, network, and train plans. Good understanding of delay attribution and validation processes. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Word, TRUST, P2, Sheila, BUGLE. Excellent communication skills and ability to express oneself confidently. Excellent planning & organisation skills. Persuasive with the ability to present key points effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills. Flexible & adaptable with the ability to respond positively to change.
